The principle of transparency, understood as total accessibility to information concerning the organisation and activities of public administrations, was affirmed by Law Decree no. 33 dated 14 March 2013, reorganising the regulations on the obligations of publicity, transparency and dissemination of information. The aim of the rule is to encourage widespread citizen control over the work of institutions and the use of public resources.
It is unlawful to re-use for marketing or electoral campaigning the contact details and e-mail addresses of public administration personnel subject to mandatory publication
